On June 4th, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Shandong Province issued a notice on commending enterprises that actively implemented emissions reduction during the emergency response period for heavy pollution weather. The notice commended 859 enterprises in the province that actively implemented emissions reduction during the emergency response period for heavy pollution weather in December 2020.

In December 2020, our province was affected by extremely unfavorable weather conditions and experienced several rounds of heavy pollution weather. During the emergency response period for heavy pollution weather, 859 enterprises in the province took the initiative to assume social responsibility and actively participated in the emergency emission reduction of heavy pollution weather. Among them, 144 enterprises actively reduced their production load, and 715 enterprises (units) actively implemented staggered transportation, further reducing atmospheric pollutant emissions and making positive contributions to winning the blue sky defense battle in the province.

In the "June 5th Environment Day" event, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment specially promoted proactive emission reduction enterprises, and has also guided various cities to reward proactive emission reduction enterprises through ecological compensation funds, establishing a clear direction and actively creating a good atmosphere for the whole society to jointly cope with heavy pollution weather.
